• At birth they weigh 70 pounds and 50 inches. By
  the time there adults they can weight up to 2,000
  pounds and be more than 12 feet tall. They can
  also live for 70 years.

How do they get their food?

• Once they see something their interested in for
  food. They will dive farther down into the water
  and then grab the food and they float back up and
  eat it.

Where can they be found?

• Manatees live in a warmer area of water, they
  like the Caribbean Islands and parts of Florida.

• They have to live In warmer water because if the
  water they are in drops below 60 F they will stop
  eating and get sick, could die if the condition
  becomes worse.
