Dinosaurs!
  • You see them in the movies, they haunt your
    dreams, but what are they really?
  • Dinosaurs lived millions of years ago and we
    study them today through the fossils they left
    behind.
  • Archeologists study the bones and foot prints
    which tell them about the dinosaur and how old it
    was.
  • This web quest is designed to help you become an
    expert about dinosaurs.

  • Compilation Using the world wide web resource
    look up information about your dinosaur.
  • Creative Product You must be able to apply
    information learned on your dinosaur into modern
    situations.
  • Mystery Explore different Dinosaurs in
    interactive activities .

  • Go to kidsdinos.com and click on Dino Data
  • Select type of dinosaur in the left hand column.
  • Pick out your favorite dinosaur and study the
    information on it.
  • Dont forget to scroll down to see all the facts
    and timelines.
  • Open Word and keep a bulleted list of interesting
    facts you find.

  • Pick another two dinosaurs to learn about on your
    own.
  • Now click on Dionorize it
  • Play the dinosaur flash card game.
  • Next, click on Dino games.
  • Pick any of the two games to play.
  • Click on Vote for Dino and vote for your
    favorite.

Final Dig
  • Open Microsoft Word and create a two part
    document.
  • You must pick your favorite dinosaur out of the
    three researched and include facts about the
    dinosaur (what it ate, time period, where it
    roamed etc).
  • In second part write about how the dinosaur would
    live today competing with humans. (make sure you
    are aware if your dinosaur is a meat eater, how
    it would adapt, what humans would do and feel
    free to be creative)
  • Students will present their papers in groups of
    four and ask for meaningful feedback.
