But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in
His law he meditates day and night. He shall be
like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That
brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf

21Hebrews 312-13
- Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an
evil heart of unbelief in departing from the
living God but exhort one another daily, while
it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened
through the deceitfulness of sin.
221 John 518-19
- We know that whoever is born of God does not sin
but he who has been born of God keeps himself,
and the wicked one does not touch him. We know
that we are of God, and the whole world lies
under the sway of the wicked one.
23Seriousness of Worldliness
- It breeds other sin 2 Samuel 11
- Leads to disfellowship
1 Corinthians 51,11-13
241 Corinthians 51, 11-13
- It is actually reported that there is sexual
immorality among you, and such sexual immorality
as is not even named among the Gentiles--that a
man has his father's wife! - But now I have written to you not to keep company
with anyone named a brother, who is sexually
immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a
reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not
even to eat with such a person. For what have I
to do with judging those also who are outside? Do
you not judge those who are inside? But those who
are outside God judges. Therefore "put away
from yourselves the evil person.
252 Thessalonians 36, 14-15
- But we command you, brethren, in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every
brother who walks disorderly and not according to
the tradition which he received from us. - And if anyone does not obey our word in this
epistle, note that person and do not keep company
with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet do not
count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a
brother.
26Seriousness of Worldliness

- Leads to disfellowship
1 Corinthians 51,11-13 2 Thess 36, 14-15 - It hinders our race and growth

- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
27The Christian Life
- A life of holiness 1 Peter 115-16
- But as He who called you is holy, you also be
holy in all your conduct, because it is written,
"Be holy, for I am holy."
28The Christian Life
- A life of holiness 1 Peter 41-3
- Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the
flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind,
for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased
from sin, that he no longer should live the rest
of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men,
but for the will of God. For we have spent enough
of our past lifetime in doing the will of the
Gentiles--when we walked in lewdness, lusts,
drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and
abominable idolatries.

- What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin
that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall
we who died to sin live any longer in it? - 1 John 35-6
- And you know that He was manifested to take away
our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever
abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has
neither seen Him nor known Him.

Corinthians 614-17
352 Corinthians 614-17
- Do not be unequally yoked together with
unbelievers. For what fellowship has
righteousness with lawlessness? And what
communion has light with darkness? And what
accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a
believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement
has the temple of God with idols? For you are the
temple of the living God. As God has said "I
will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be
their God, And they shall be My people."
Therefore "Come out from among them And be
separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is
unclean, And I will receive
you."
