Differences with ADSL2

• VDSL offers faster speeds but only over shorter
  distances
• The maximum available bit rates are achieved at a
  range of about 300 meters (1000 ft).
• These fast speeds mean that VDSL is capable of
  supporting new high bandwidth applications such
  as HDTV, as well as telephone services (Voice
  over IP) and general Internet access, over a
  single connection.
• Modems can be used for Point To Point links

• With VDSL LAN, you just simply plug into the
  existing RJ-11 telephone jack. With nothing to
  configure or minor configure and no additional
  wiring to install, your network is up and running
  in minutes. There is no need for special
  splitters, terminators or filters. It is also no
  need to modify the existing wiring at all. A
  serial connector (RS-232) is provided for user to
  connect a host computer to configure or view the
  link miscellanies status or configurations.
