Japan - Now on initial stage of standardization
- QoS Investigated several existing

access point base station(Femto) and ZigBee. - Plan to submit proposal to ITU-T SG15, SG16,etc.

3Strategic Direction
- Architectures have been proposed by several
bodies such as ITU and Fora. - But there are no consistent suite of
Recommendations from WAN to HN dealing with the
following items. - Maintenance (In case of the problems or failure
has occurred) - Device setting
- Device composition confirmation
- In Layer 2/3, there are many candidate protocols.
- But for the management of home device, some
modification will be required. - Isn't cooperation necessary on this respect among
PSOs?

- Conduct systematic technical test composed of
WAN, Access, Home-GW, and Intra-HN in close
cooperation with Fora in Japan. - Operation from WAN to HN
- Energy saving in the HN
