a way so it does NOT resemble actual reality.
  • Length of line must be between 3 and 4 feet.
  • Thickness of line must be 3 inches in the largest
section and 1 inch or below in the thinnest area.
  • Direction of line should vary.
  • Design can be inspired by earlier 8 emotion
sketches and/or real objects such as the one seen
    in this slide show.
  • Color is free choice but remember color should

3D LINE SCULPTURE PROCESS
  • Use wire to create an armature. Bend, cut and
tape more wire together to get the correct length
and direction for your sculpture. Armature
usually wire, cardboard or some hard material
used to place a wet material ( clay, plaster) on
top of in order to hold its shape.
  • Wrap newspaper and tape around the wire to
thicken area-remember some areas must be 3 inches
    wide.
  • Entire armature (wire) must be covered in
    newspaper-including thinnest area.
  • Wrap entire sculpture in plaster gauze. Cut small
strips of gauze and dip in warm water. Wrap wet
gauze around wire armature and make smooth and
    neat while still wet.
  • Paint free choice-remember color choice should
    be abstract.
