- Let the other road users know
- that you are there (be visible),
- which direction you will go,
- whether you want to go first or let him/her go
first
5More safety by good positioning - a key skill for
both adults and children
Of all cycling skills, road positioning is
probably the most important, for it is through
their position on the road that cyclists can
exert the greatest influence on their safety in

- Make contact with the other road user and
negotiate with him/her - Look into his/her eyes and check if he/she sees
you - be friendly and be clear on what you want
- agree on that you share the space
