• The present tense is used to report what is
  happening now and at this very moment

Some Key Vocabulary

• Infinitive The verb in its pure form. For
  example, in English, all infinitives include the
  word to to sing, to eat, to live, etc.
• In Spanish all infinitives end in either AR,
  -ER, -IR Cantar (to sing)

More Vocabulary

• Conjugation Changing the verb from its
  infinitive form so that it agrees with a subject.
  For example to sing to Mary sings. (sings
  is the conjugated verb)

• Subject The actor(s) in the sentence. Mary
  sings. We eat.
• Regular verb A verb is regular if it follows the
  regular ar,-er,-ir endings
• Irregular Verb A verb is irregular if it does
  not take a regular ar, -er, -ir ending
