I WILL REMEMBER MY COVENANT

Promises to Abraham the cause
  • Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for he hath
visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised
up an horn of salvation for us in the house of
his servant David As he spake by the mouth of
his holy prophets, which have been since the
world began That we should be saved from our
enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us
  • To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and
to remember his holy covenant The oath which he
sware to our father Abraham, That he would grant
unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand
of our enemies might serve him without fear, In
holiness and righteousness before him, all the
    days of our life.

thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of
thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He
shall build an house for my name, and I will
stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I
will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he
commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod
of men, and with the stripes of the children of

Needed Redemption
  • Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, recipients of the
    everlasting promises required salvation from
their nature before they could receive them
  • Both resurrection from the dead and salvation
    from their nature were required
  • Until then they could not receive the promises!

22

bring you in unto the land, concerning the which

ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy
camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer
of thy water That thou shouldest enter into
covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his
oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee
this day That he may establish thee to day for a

The Dream
  • When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion,
we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth
filled with laughter, and our tongue with
singing then said they among the heathen, The
LORD hath done great things for them. The LORD
hath done great things for us whereof we are
    glad.
