What is it?

• Boardmaker is a program used to make
  communication boards for nonverbal students
• It includes almost 18,000 images in multiple
  different formats
• It is designed to enhance the language and
  learning process for students of all levels

What can you do with Boardmaker?

• You are able to make professional looking
  communication displays
• Make worksheets, picture instruction sheets,
  reading books, journals, schedules, posters and
  custom activities

What does Boardmaker include?

• Boardmaker has over 18,000 images
• It has a set of black and white symbols and a set
  of color symbols
• It has over 300 templates for schedules, device
  overlays, calendars, and communication boards

Who uses Boardmaker?

• Children with speech and language disabilities
• Designed to teach specific language skills that
  will meet the students individualized education
  program goals
• It has been used to develop the language
  stimulation techniques for children that have
  cerebral palsy.

What features does Boardmaker include?

• Boardmaker is translated into 10 languages other
  than English so that it can be made multicultural
• When putting the images on a Microsoft page, the
  words that stand for each picture show up
  underneath so that everyone can understand the
  sentence
