Assignments

• Character Study Journal Keep a list of
  characters as we read. Write traits that you
  observe for each character as well as notes about
  what you think about them. Think about how you
  relate to them. (Go personal)

• Scene Reflections After each scene is
  completed, students will write a half to full
  page reflection. Reflections should include
  changes in the plot, setting, conflicts, and
  characters. I will be expecting you to include
  your own personal connection to the scene.

Vocabulary

• A vocabulary list must be maintained while
  reading. I will expect to see at least 20 words
  on your list. Please define each word on your
  list in your own words and provide a synonym for
  each.

Evaluations of Assignments (Scene Reflections)

• I will grade each reflection independently. I
  will be looking for 5 parts Plot, setting,
  conflict, characters, and personal connection.
  Each will be worth 20 points.
