Back ground

• Come back as a study aboard student
• Plan to stay till Aug
• Hope to gain international knowledge in the filed
  of business

The road of Searching

• Prior to Departure
• Search the internet
• Find one with services fee of about 500USD
• Timing difficulties
• Complex application process
• Inflexible schedule
• Other no respond

• After arrival
• Try to talk to professors
• Try to get info from the internet
• Get rejected due time limited
• Company do not want to train someone just here
  for short term

Difficulties I face

• Before the term end
• Internship has not yet secure
• Housing problem
• Many might even face a Visa Problem
• In the meantime of Final, term paper, packing and
  moving out!

Coincidence

• Searching the web in 2 am
• Found two companies
• Interview by Midwest
• Still searching due to un-certainty
• Second Interview with Midwest
• Heard no respond from the other

• Get involved in the Global Compact project (UN SG
  office)
• Get involved in the World Trade University (UN
  initiative)

• Special Project manager/coordinator for Int
  department
• Credit card International Partnership

• Getting to meet high officials from (UN, and
  China)
• Social connections
• Learning the formal way of socializing
• Learning to be more active

• Be creative in new opportunities
• Be independent in thought
• Beware of what is ahead of you
• Looking backward and learn from mistake
• China working culture

Final Remark

• Looking for an internship is hard without a
  proper help
• Housing is also another problem
• But is well worth it to give it a shot
• Looking back, I would say that what I learn in my
  close to two month of internship is much more
  than what I learn in America for a year!
