STATE AID FORMULA

• The state established a base pupil amount it
  determined to be adequate to provide the
  necessary education for a student.
• This number is then multiplied by various
  weighted factors such as enrollment, LEP and at
  risk students. This number is then the
  adequate base cost which the districts state
  aid is based upon.

EXTRAORDINARY AID

• Included in the State Aid for 2008 2009 is
  Extraordinary Aid. This is the first time this
  amount is being included in the regular budget
  figures. Without this amount, the district aid
  for 2008 2009 would actually be less than the
  2007 2008 allocated amount.
