• To built on a small scale, a prototype setup
  using a matrix converter for the control of the
  rotor side of a DFIG for wind energy application.

• A matrix converter for a DFIG system has been
  successfully been built and tested.
• The MC was controlled to obtain
  conversion.

Further Work

• Interface the built converter with a DFIG system.
• Code the simulated control algorithm into DSP.
• Connect the DFIG to the grid.
