  • Training may be provided at government expense
    when required for
  • performing mission-related duties
  • developing knowledge and skills
  • Assignment to training and development programs

  • Supervisors are responsible for
  • Identifying training needs
  • Securing needed funds
  • Scheduling work to permit attendance
  • Evaluating training results

SUPERVISORY TRAINING
  • New supervisors must complete within 12 months
    of their first supervisory assignment
  • Supervisory Development Course
  • Leadership Education and Development (LEAD)
  • NAF Supervisors and managers are required to
    participate in the Civilian Leadership Training,
    Common Core courses and MWR functional training
    (ACTED Career Field 51)

  • Supervisor should encourage
  • self-development training
  • Employees retain primary responsibility for
    self-development training

RESPONSIBIITY OF SUPERVISOR
  • Provide a work environment free of discrimination

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly responsible for the safety and well
    being of their subordinate employees during duty
    hours
  • Establish and enforce policies and practices that
    ensure employee safety and well being
  • Encourage the use of the services available
    through the Occupational Health Nurse
  • When health related concerns of employees impact
    on work performance, contact the NAF HRO to
    discuss the appropriate action
