Summary

• There has been a problem completing the work at
  Morriss Machine Works and the manager wants you
  to call him to confirm the added expenses. Our
  return to the office will be delayed a few days.

Background

• We have been here since August 10, and have
  completed shoring up the floor and building a 3.8
  metre extension along the width of the north
  wall, in readiness for installing the surface
  mount machine. However, we have been unable to
  install the machine because it is too wide to
  bring in through the door.

Details

• Mr Grindelbauer, the Morriss Machine Works
  manager, has asked us to stay longer and tear out
  part of the wall so his technical staff can bring
  in and install the machine. We will then have to
  rebuild the wall and re-hang the door. I have
  told him the work will take an additional two
  days or 32 hours of labor, accommodation, and
  meals, plus about 135 worth of materials.
