Introduction
During a science experiment gone bad, you have
been warped back to 2680 BC. You find yourself
in Egypt among a crew of workers building a
pyramid. You notice that their methods are
inefficient. They are trying to push and lift
bricks that way tons. At this rate, the pyramid
will take centuries. To get around in here,
click on the arrows at the top of the page. They
will take you forwards and backwards. Click on
the pictures below to go to different sections.
4
Challenge
Using the Internet, find easier ways to move the
gigantic bricks. You can look at how Egyptians
later learned to move the bricks. You can look
at how buildings are built today. You can look
at physics WebPages for some ideas also. The
only condition is that the materials for your
ideas must have been available in the year 2680
BC.

Report
Create a plan for these crew workers. You can
write a plan that you would give them including
pictures, words, or anything else you can think
of to explain your plan to them. If you would
just explain your plan to them verbally, you can
write a dialogue between you and them a
conversation of exactly what you would say and
they would say in return. Be creative! If you
did your journey with a partner, each of you
needs to create a separate plan. Turn your plan
into your teacher. Go to the next slide to see
how you will be graded.
