Is Gods Peace still relevant today?

What is Peace?

• Websters dictionary gives several good
  definitions of peace
• It says this A state of calm and quietness.
  Freedom from disturbing thoughts. A concord
  between persons or governments

Is there any peace at all?

• From a worldly standard it doesnt seem to be
  much of peaceful place.
• There so much anger and hatred against one
  another for the way a person or persons speak,
  dress and who or what they worship too, thats
  its becoming almost impossible to be a
  peacemaker.
• But What would Jesus have to say about peace?

The Peace from God

• Going to John 1425-27 All this I have spoken
  while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy
  Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,
  will teach you all things and will remind you of
  everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with
  you my peace I give you. I do not give to you as
  the world gives. Do not let your hearts be
  troubled and do not be afraid. NIV

How can we live out being peacemakers?

• Modeling compassion day in and day out.
• We must be passionate about Jesus and allow the
  Spirit to to move us to compassionate hearts.
• Being more forgiving then hating the person who
  may wrong us.

Go and live out what you have been called to do!

• Dont worry about the days of tomorrow, but what
  is presently at hand.
• When we put our trust in Jesus and believe that
  He is one who holds it all. We can be confident
  to know that whatever happens to us that His
  peace will always be with us and lead us out of
  our valleys of despair.
