Title: Conditional sentences

Conditional sentences
2
When do we use conditional sentences?
3
  • We can use conditional sentences to talk about
    facts.
  • Conditional sentences have two parts
  • ? an if-clause, and
  • ? a main clause.

4
When we use conditional sentences to talk about
facts, we use the simple present in both the
if-clause and the main clause.
We can change the order of the clauses in a
conditional sentence.
Do you always put a comma between the two clauses?
You put a comma if the conditional sentence
starts with the if-clause.
You dont put a comma if the conditional sentence
starts with the main clause.
5
Note
In this type of conditional sentence, we can use
when instead of if.
