1 Thessalonians 41-8
Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live
in order to please God, as in fact you are
living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord
Jesus to do this more and more. 2 For you know
what instructions we gave you by the authority of
the Lord Jesus. 3 It is God's will that you
should be sanctified that you should avoid
sexual immorality 4 that each of you should
learn to control his own body in a way that is
holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust
like the heathen, who do not know God

brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will
punish men for all such sins, as we have already
told you and warned you. 7 For God did not call
us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8
Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does
not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy

peaceable and considerate, and to show true
humility toward all men. 3 At one time we too
were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved
by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived
in malice and envy, being hated and hating one
another.4 But when the kindness and love of God
our Savior appeared

5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we
had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us
through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the
Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us
generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so
that, having been justified by his grace, we
might become heirs having the hope of eternal
life.

them on mens shoulders, but they themselves are
not willing to lift a finger to move them.

loves his child as well. This is how we know
that we love the children of God by loving God
and carrying out his commands. And his commands
are not burdensome, for everyone born of God
overcomes the world. This is the victory that
has overcome the world, even our faith Who is
it that overcomes the world? Only he who
believes that Jesus is the son of God.
