Title: Mr. Indent
1Mr. Indent
2Why Indent?
- A paragraph is a group of sentences that tell
about a subject. The sentences are not numbered.
When one sentence ends, the next sentence
begins.
3These sentences tell about life in colonial
America. Every time a sentence ends, the next
sentence begins.
- Life in colonial America is much different than
life today. The early settlers had to hunt,
fish, or grow their own food. Religion was a
very important part of their life. Their
clothing covered much of their bodies. Only
those who could afford it could go to school.

Easter Island is found in the
South Pacific. It is the most iceolaited place in
the world. If you get on a boat it would take a
long time to get to different countries. Its a
very small island too. They made a lot of
statues. The statues were made of moai, asoft
volcanic kind of rock. Statues were put all
around the island. Trees is what they used to
roll the statues to different places. Their
natural resources ran out quickly. Wood is one
of them, because they used it to carry statues
around. Houses were also built with wood. Boats
were built with wood too.

7How Do I Indent?
Do not leave the space on the other lines of the
paragraph, just the first one.
- Lets practice with Mr. Indent!
8 If I could trick or treat anywhere, I
would go to Transylvania. First, I think I will
see vampires with blood on their fangs. Ill see
ghosts. I will also see witches on broomsticks
flying through the sky. I think Ill hear
screaming. I will also hear rattling chains. The
most terrifying noise will be the clashing
bones. What will happen to me? I will probably
get chased by bats. Then, run into a vampire. The
vampire will try to suck my blood and try to kill
me but, at the last minute I will look in my
treat bag for anything that will stop a vampire.
Boy will I be glad to get far away from there. I
will love to get away from there.
