Respect
  • Harriet Tubman showed respect because she was
polite and she was willing to work hard.
  • She also showed respect to everyone in Maine
because she wanted them not to be slaves anymore.
She wanted them to be free!

4
Responsibility
  • Harriet Tubman showed responsibility because she
had to work and clean to the bone because of her
    owners.
  • She also had to be responsible about the people
she was leading. She had to make sure that they
kept on going. If they wanted to turn back, she
would point a gun at their head and say, Keep
    moving or youll die.

Compassion
This was sculpted by Jane DeDecker, 1997
  • Harriet Tubman showed compassion because she
    helped A LOT of people.
  • She helped people in the Civil War because she
worked in the nursery. If people were sick, then
she would try to make them feel better!

Honesty
  • Harriet showed honesty because she promised the
people that she was leading that she would get
    them there.
  • She also was honest to her family. Since there
eleven children in the house it was chaotic. If
her mother tolled her to do something, she
couldnt say, Nope, cant, sorry. She would
    have to say, Yes, Mama.
