Biography

• Dan Gutman was born in New York in 1955. He
  attended Rutgers University and is now married
  and has two children.
• He enjoys sports but mainly baseball. His
  other hobbies include riding his bike, playing
  guitar, writing humorous essays, and playing
  video games.

• Miss Holly is too Jolly!
• Miss Holly is the Spanish teacher. She loves
  Christmas and is in charge of the Christmas
  program.

• Miss Daisy is the second grade teacher at Ele
  Mentary School. She often does strange things.
  Miss Daisy makes learning fun. She is different
  than most teachers, she hates school!

Mr. Klutz is Nuts! Mr. Klutz is the principal at
Ele Mentary Shool. He does strange things that
make learning fun. AJ and his friends think Mr.
Klutz is nuts?
AJ is in the 2nd grade. He hates school. He
loves hockey and football.
My story ideas My idea is to have AJ and his
friends meet a new teacher who is their third
grade teacher named Mr. Bleeky. Mr. Bleeky likes
video games and sports. Mr. Bleeky is Freaky!

  Sometimes Dan Gutman likes to use phrases like
  it
• was a Kodak moment, which is what they say
  in the Kodak ads. Sometimes the characters make
  up words like motor-vation, which means like a
  motor inside you that makes you want to do
  stuff. My story idea is to have Mr. Bleeky to
  use words from the video games he plays and he
  sings most everything he says.

• Something weird is going on!
• Mr. Bleeky, the 3rd grade teacher, is doing
  weird stuff. He plays the guitar in a hard rock
  sort of way, singing almost everything he says.
  He plays sports at recess and plays video games
  in the teachers lounge! Mr. Bleeky is Freaky!
