The Cochrane Library

• The Cochrane Collaboration is an international
  organisation that aims to help people make
  well-informed decisions about health care by
  preparing, maintaining and promoting the
  accessibility of systematic reviews on the
  effects of healthcare interventions (and since
  March 2008 also reviews on diagnostic test
  accuracy).
• De missie van de Cochrane Collaboration is mensen
  te helpen bij het nemen van wetenschappelijk
  onderbouwde beslissingen over medische
  behandelingen. Zij doet dit door het maken van
  systematische samenvattingen van al het
  beschikbare wetenschappelijke onderzoek
  betreffende het effect (of het ontbreken daarvan)
  van gezondheidszorginterventies. Sinds maart 2008
  houdt de Cochrane Collaboration zich ook bezig
  met systematische reviews over waarde van
  diagnostische tests.
• De Cochrane Collaboration is een onafhankelijke,
  internationale non-profit organisatie. Zij
  streeft naar het produceren van hoogwaardige,
  onafhankelijke (niet door belanghebbende partijen
  beïnvloede) informatie.
