Title: Reports in MOSES

1
Reports in MOSES
  • A brief history
  • through the end of 2003

2
In the beginning
  • Each type of funding source and/or program had
    its own database and reports
  • Each report was precious to all
  • MOSES replaced the separate databases and
consolidated reports, based on input from
    operators
  • Reports were programmed last

3
And then . . . .
  • John Walsh organized a one day training in
reports, offered in the first year
  • Crystal Report User Group started and was a grand
    success
  • Datamarts established to make reporting easier
  • Ad Hoc
  • Title I
  • WTW

4
Reports get their own server
  • Reports appeared to be problematic
  • Reports were built inside of MOSES
  • Any changes to reports had to wait for a formal
build to be pushed to the desktops
  • Each local server had problems receiving reports
and/or builds because of file buildup
  • One MOSES build finally moved reports to a
    separate web-server
  • Reports are more amenable to changes on the fly

16
Future
  • Reports need to be reviewed for accuracy and
    substance
  • All people need to understand what is being
    measured and how
  • Training needs to occur once reports are more
    useable
