  • To consider good practice in leading
    professional development opportunities in
    social, emotional and behavioural skills
  • To consider the issues involved in leading
    training in social, emotional and behavioural
    skills and how these might differ from leading
    training in other areas
  • To be familiar with a range of ways of engaging
    staff in Continuing Professional Development
    (CPD) opportunities that lead to the
    establishment of a school ethos that promotes
    and supports the development of social,
    emotional and behavioural skills
  • To explore the beliefs and emotions underlying
    a range of staff responses to training in
    social, emotional and behavioural skills
  • To develop a range of strategies for motivating
    and enabling change
  • To have experiential knowledge of a range of
    activities to use with staff to achieve key
    training objectives
