• Group Charter The IPDR Protocols Working group
  will define the notation, syntax, encoding and
  transport used to convey usage information to
  Business Support Systems.

• Compact IPDR format specification
• Java based compact reference implementation
• Simplified XML IPDR Doc format
• Formalized guidelines for creating Service
  Definitions (and 3rd party extensions)
• Formalized file transfer protocol (NDM-U 2.6)
• Infosys hired to create Java and C libraries for
  compact format encode/decode, XML format
  encode/decode, service definition processing

• Re-edit of chapter 4 for improved readability
• Compact format specification
• Simplified XML format for IPDRDoc
• New Service Definition document

What we have now

• Service definition framework
• Set of existing service definitions
• XML and compact representation of usage
  information from a service definition.
• Capabilities model to expose facilities
  available from an IPDR Recorder.
• File/URL based transfer protocol (pull only)
• SOAP transfer protocol (push and pull)
