3Why use RefWorks?
- Keep track of articles on a topic or several
topics - Create bibliographies easily and quickly in over
200 citation styles - All OCUL libraries participate
- Submitting an article to more than one journal
expecting different citation styles? - A click of the mouse will change the style to fit
the requirements of the journal

- An unlimited number of folders

- In some cases, you can specify the folder when
bringing in the references, but if not - From the Reference List,
- Select the required references (or all, as
needed) - Select the folder in which to put the references

- About a dozen publishers/vendors make this
feature available, including CSA, ScholarsPortal,
EI Engineering Village 2, PubMed, EBSCO, and
ProQuest - A complete list is available at
http//www.refworks.com/DEList.asp - References will have to be put into the
appropriate folder from after they have been
exported into RefWorks - Consult the Quick Start Guide (Building your
Database) for more details, including
database-specific directions

- Experiment with different fields to save or
export, where available (note especially whether
you can export/import a full-text link)

- Take a look at all the filled-in fields in the
record - e.g. Descriptors, Abstract, personal annotations,
etc. - Access the full text of your article (if
available and linked) - Search for other articles in your database by
Periodical, Author, or Descriptor (if available)
