Additional Declarations

  Certificates.

Additional Declarations

• NO Additional Declaration is required where there
  is only a single requirement indicated in the
  right hand column of Annex IV.
• E.g. Annex IV.A.I, point 35.1
• No AD as issue of Phytosanitary certificate
  itself confirms such a requirement.

• AD required where separate alternatives in both
  right hand and left hand columns.
• E.g. Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I,
  point 31(a) option (b) of EC Plant Health
  Directive 2000/29/EC

• In some cases in right hand column of Annex
  IV.A.I the requirements are not listed by letters
  BUT by unnumbered indents.
• E.g. Annex IV.A.I, point 32.2.
• AD Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I,
  point 32.2 second indent, of EC Plant Health
  Directive 2000/29/EC

• AD required where treatment options indicated in
  right hand column for material originating in
  countries in left hand column.
• E.g. Annex IV.A.I point 1.6
• AD Consignment complies with Annex IV.A.I,
  point 1.6 option (b) of EC Plant Health Directive
  2000/29/EC

• NO AD required where there is only a single
  requirement for area freedom confirmation, as
  indicated in the right hand column of Annex
  IV.A.I.
• Eg Annex IV.A.I, point 53
• BUT the area must be declared in the place of
  origin box.

Additional Declarations

• Phytosanitary Certificates (PC) that contain the
  Additional Declaration written out in full on the
  PC will not be rejected.
• PCs that have the Additional Declarations on
  sheets attached to the PC will not be rejected.
