Polly Pocket was excited.She had won a ticket to
a hotel in Spain. She could not wait to have a
week of relaxing peace! Sitting in the sun and
dipping my feet in the poolPolly thought.She was
so lost in her own thoughts that she didnt hear
her back door bang..
Polly skipped up the stairs.She swung her bedroom
door open.And flipped open her wardrobe.Polly
looked for clothes she might want.

 Where's my ticket?cried Polly, slightly
annoyed that maybe she had left it
up-stairs.Polly skipped back up the stairs to
fetch it. where has it gone?moaned Polly.This
is getting serious' I must report this to the
police   So I might not be able to gofinished
Polly,sighingI see what you mean.......Do you
know what ? I heard a young lady say she would
steal that ticket if she could.Do you think you
know who she is?Natalie Jones?.Because I think I
have a plan.................answered a
police-woman Oh gosh, really?And I think I know
Natalie.She lives at number 13 Pinecone lane,
doesn't she? Yes, Yes, that's her,um,err,err,than
k-you!Good-bye! Goodbye!answered Polly,glad
that maybe she didn't have to worry so much!

Polly strolled down her next-door neighbours
garden path and knocked neatly on the door,twice.
A scruffy, untidy,busy-looking.woman opened it.
whad do yo wan? You wastin' my precious
time ain't ya?Well.I'll teach ya.With that she
started whacking a rolling pin around, trying to
hit Polly. Polly,mean-while,rather surprised of
Natalie's reaction,answered in reply I'm Polly,
your neighbour,Natalie .Polly,dear come in and
have a cup of tea!Polly was now very astonished
about Natalie's behaviour.

Right Polly you go and have a cup of tea, while
I go fetch the dirty washing, up-stairs.So off
she went ,Polly boiling some water,in the
kitchen.As soon as Polly heard Natalie's heavy
feet up the stairs she switched off the kettle
and looked for her missing ticket,around the
room.She walked cautiously, to the living room
,andthere on the comfortable sofa lay the
gleaming ticket! She quickly ran over to it,with
a surge of happiness washing over her. So as she
heard Natalie coming down stairs she pocketed her
ticket and ran off into the kitchen pretending to
have done the washing-up. Oh have you done the
washing up,dear,would you like to stay for a bit
longer? No thank-you ,Natalie, I've wasted more
than enough of your time,and I've got plenty of
work to do at homeanswered Polly ,politely you
go off doing your work.Goodbye!.

Polly zipped up her suit-case and opened her
front door. Ah,fresh air at last sighed
Polly,happily.She dragged her suit-case
outside..all the way to the air-port!
To Spain, pleasePolly asked.Let me take your
casesaid the hostess. Thank-youanswered Polly.
Would you like dinner,madam?asked a hostess.
Yes,please.Do you have a curry?I feel just like
one.said Polly. We do,here.
