• The First black quarterback to win the super bowl
  and the only to win MVP.
• He was drafted 17th overall pick out of Grambling
  State University
• He wore number 17 and 12
• Graduated Grambling state with a bachelor of
  science in health and physical education

• It is a non-profit tax exempt organization. It
  was founded by Grambling State University and the
  NFL.
• The Foundation has awarded more than 100,000 in
  support of economically and physically challenged
  youth for after-school initiatives, leadership
  development, mentoring programs and minority
  higher education assistance.

  of professional scouting of the Tampa Bay
  Buccaneers in February 2009

Impact Today

• He has paved the way for more African American
  quarterbacks to enter the NFL, such as Donavan
  McNabb, Daunte Culpepper, Steve McNair, Troy
  Smith, Jason Campbell, and many more and recently
  Warren Moon became the first African American
  quarterback inducted into the Hall of Fame.
