- galex has ?? sky coverage
- galex has bluer energy sensitivity
- simultaneous 2xmm source data
- less source confusion from om psf
- om is deeper than galex ais (mAB lt 20.5)
- three om colours in nuv passband
- om sensitivity within the galex-sdss energy gap
- variability on hour and year timescales

xmm-newton serendipitous uv source catalogue
- available through the esa xsa system and vo from
july 2008. queries before then martin still
mds_at_mssl.ucl.ac.uk - 700,000 uv sources from 2,388 xmm-newton
pointings. - 3-colour data across the galex nuv band.
- simultaneous x-ray and optical data.
- source variability from multiple exposures and
pointings. - catalogue will go deeper still when individual
exposures are mosaiced in the xmm sas pipeline. - swift-uvot uv source archive to follow.
