- 1st Trimester Narrative

respond. Students write an essay that interprets
the theme or character from the story. - 3rd Trimester Persuasive
- Students write a three to five paragraph
essay where students explain their opinion to
persuade the reader. Students give reasons and
evidence as well as counter arguments in the
essay.

- Homework is assigned nightly
- Students should expect to have short term and
long term projects, and they should work on them
accordingly. Students learn time management
skills. The homework policy follows the Board
guidelines, 1-1½ hours per night with an
additional 20 minutes of reading.
