Green Buildings worldwide are certified with
LEED. It is a voluntary system and it is 3rd
party verified. USGBC has four levels of LEED.

20- Target Greenhouse Gas Emissions
A member ballot is now out for vote to update all
LEED rating system products (except LEED for
Homes) to a higher minimum energy performance
criteria the intent being to reducing Greenhouse
Gas Emissions from buildings using the LEED
rating system products. If voted in favor, the
update will take effect June 26, 2007.
21Now open for public comment, until July 9, 2007
22The USGBCs annual national conference is called
GreenBuild. This year it will take place
November 7-9 in Chicago. Over 20,000 are
expected. www.greenbuildexpo.org
