Information Overloading

• Activities are simple, not need much cognitive
  resources limited capacity theory
• structural features such as cuts, edits, and
  content changes increase in resources
• cognitive load is low, encoding directly after a
  structural change increase
• unrelated cut increases in resources for
  encoding and cognitive load
• related cut (edit) decreases in cognitive load
  but increases in resources
