- The purpose of this project is to design a system

using the existing Parks as nodes of destination.
The project was meant to both work in
conjunction with neighborhood members as well as
design with criteria based upon the topics of oil
depletion, successful aging, and health.
7Project Objectives

accessibility and beautification of the park
system.

12Reality Checks
- Often an afterthought in capital programming.
- Low priority. Lumped with other non-essentials
like trees, benches, pedestrian refuges. - Must be promoted as economic benefit instead of a
cost, contributing to solutions in other areas
social costs of crime, poor health, urban flight. - Budget constraints.
