References from PubMed into a Word Document.

Link your document to the EndNote library from
which you will import references
From EndNote toolbar in Word document, Click the
Go to EndNote icon to connect the document to
the EndNote library.

From the Tools menu in EndNote, select Connect
and then PubMed- The PubMed search window will
open
On the EndNote tool bar, select Tools, then
Connect and then click on PubMed (NLM)

Enter search term(s) and type(s) of terms then
click Search
Click Search
Enter search term(s) in search field(s) and using
the drop down list, enter what TYPE of term
beside it.

A dialog box will display the number of articles
matching your search criteria click OK to
display all articles
Click OK to retrieve references or Cancel to
revise search terms.

Highlight the article to import to EndNote and
click Copy 1 Reference To
Select reference(s) to import to EndNote library,
and then click Copy Reference(s) To button.

Select Choose Library to select your EndNote
library
Make a selection at prompt HERE Choose Library
(because we have one open)

Browse to select your EndNote library highlight
the file and click Open
Click on the EndNote Library File, and then click
Open

Your reference will import into your EndNote
library
The references selected from PubMed will import
to the EndNote library

Click the Insert Citation icon on the EndNote
toolbar to insert the highlighted citation into
your linked Word document
Click the Insert Citation icon to insert
highlighted reference into Word

Your reference will insert where the cursor is
placed in your Word text.
