INTRODUCTION
When you think of Global Warming, you would
picture a globe, literally melting away. Several
movies have been made to let you know what Global
Warming can do to our planet. Even children
movies, including the Ice Age series, have tried
to let you know about the dangers of Global
Warming, but still, many people still dont make
an effort to save the planet. Maybe this
presentation will help you understand what the
effects of Global Warming are. Then maybe, just
maybe, youll help and save the planet.

4WHAT WE KNOW ALREADY
Im guessing that we already know what Global
Warming is, but if you dont, its like a
disease. A disease that has already attacked the
earth. A disease that will forever get worse if
we dont take action soon. As you already know,
the world has already been affected. The Artic
and Antarctica has been affected, the icebergs
are melting, making the sea to expand. But how is
this happening? Youll soon find out how theyre
melting.

5THE DREADFUL EFFECTS
So, how are the icebergs melting? Global warming
has affected the ozone layer. The ozone layer
acts as a seal to protect the air from escaping
the world. All of the pollution and access heat
hits the ozone layer, so the heat cant escape.
We now have access heat thats encircling our
planet. The access heat makes the icebergs
melt, so the sea level will rise. Everyone will
be forced to move to the middle of the continent,
and the continents will be over-crowded.

6IF WE DONT TAKE ACTION
- There are also many other effects of Global
Warming - Ozone layer is breaking from access heat and
carbon dioxide. - Air pollution is caused by factories.
- Acid Rain is also caused by factories, a form of
rain, but deadly. It has already appeared in many
cities, like Toronto and New York. - If we dont take action soon, there will be even
more effects.

7THE VICIOUS CYCLE
Global Warming always comes back to us. Its like
a never-ending cycle. Scientists are always
thinking of a cure of this disease of the
world. Until they find a cure, we have to help
the world too. If we ignore it, however, the
cycle will come back to us. By this, I mean that
the effects will worsen. Like rain storms,
tornadoes, hurricanes, acid rain etc.

8WE CAN DO
- We can help the planet by
- Buying energy efficient cars, like the SmartCar.
It will save the amount of gas being used. - Recycling empty bottles (Plastic, glass).
- Taking the bus, train, or even walking.
- Making a compost bin.
- Re-using un-recyclable items.

9ORGANIZATIONS
- There are already many organizations that are
trying to reduce the effects of global warming. - The Kyoto Protocol, which is working to reduce
green house gas emissions and climate change. - The G8 5 announced that in February 2007, they
would hold a meeting on Climate Change Dialogue. - The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change), which was established in the 1980s,
focuses on reducing Climate Change.

10THE CAUSES
- Again, the causes of Global Warming include
- Green house gasses (SUVs, oil-sands, airplanes)
- Using natural resources that are unnecessary
(cutting too many trees, hunting wildlife). - Energy efficiency.
- Water pollution.
- Forest Fires free a lot of carbon dioxide in the
air.

12OVER THE YEARS
Over the years, the temperature has increased,
slowly but surely. Charts recorded my scientists
have proved that Global Warming in warming up
our planet!

13ANIMAL EXTINCTION
Yes, Global Warming also effects the animals. The
icebergs are melting, causing the polar bears,
penguins, sea-lions, seals and other
arctic/Antarctic wildlife to lose their habitat.
Also, their food is becoming scarce.

14CONCLUSION
Here is the end of my project. I hope I have
drilled it in your heads. Well, that concludes my
PowerPoint presentation on Global Warming.
Remember, kids. RECYCLE!
