• Most of the guests are staying during the week is
  business. But, on weekends we have weddings and
  functions.
• The location is 75 Forks Market Road
• 115 modern guest rooms and suites
• Has the best view of Winnipeg

• Offer many different room and spa packages as
  well as romance packages
• Waterfront suite offers a view of both downtown
  and waterfront. Windows are all the way around
  the room.

• Rated 4 out of 5 stars from the Discreet Diner
• The Current Lounge has live Jazz entertainment
  starting Thursday night and ending on Saturday
  night
• Open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
• Holds a Sunday brunch from 1000am till 200pm

• Water featured wall
• Luxurious lounge for clients to relax in sip on
  a martini and sit by the fireplace.
• Vichy Shower which eases your muscle tension and
  exfoliates your skin

Banquets and Meetings

• Forks Ballroom can seat up to 200 people for
  dinner. Forks Ballroom also splits in half and
  can make 2 separate meeting rooms.
• River Salon 24-50 people depending on set-up
• Prairie Salon 16-30 people depending on set-up
• Private dinning room in the restaurant can do
  dinner for 56 people
• Also offer catering services on the surrounding
  grounds of the forks area
• Waterfront can hold a small meeting for about
  10-15 people
• All the meeting rooms are located on the 2nd Floor

Front Desk Agent Responsibilities

• Perform Check-ins and Check-outs
• Reservations (both online and phone)
• Print daily departures and arrival reports
• AM and PM checklist
• Bucket Check
• Print end of shift report and detailed summary
  and perform my cash-out
• Answer the phones and direct phone calls to
  certain departments
• Handle all different type of situations
• Know the area and where things are and what is
  going on

Different Situations

• Not having a guests reservation and telling them
  that we are sold out or making a mistake on there
  reservation
• Having problems with the skateboarders at the
  hotel
• Getting rid of intoxicated non-guests out of the
  lobby and hotel
• Canada Day valet all guests cars, patrol and
  act as security for the hotel only guests allowed
  in the hotel

• I obtained the skills of a Front desk agent as
  well as a bell person
• Gained up selling techniques as well as
  confidence in the work that I do
• Learned a lot about the hotel and how the
  industry operates
