2October LEAP Notes from Carol
DuBoisThe mediocre teacher tells the good one
explains the superior one shows the great one
inspires.Author unknownI have had a great
start to my LEAP year. The children are so
enthusiastic when they arrive at the LEAP room
door. I have truly enjoyed each day with the
kindergarten and primary students. They are
wonderful individuals with an amazing amount of
creativity. During the month of October the
DWP highlighted skill will be social interaction.
We will stress the importance of making eye
contact as well as greeting everyone we meet here
at SUV.The real fault is to have faults and
not try to mend them.-Confuscius

9 Kindergarten Small Group
- I begin each class session with a brainteaser. I
am introducing the children to ways one can begin
the reasoning necessary to solve a brainteaser
whether it is visually or orally presented. They
are developing quite well. - During the month of October we will be working on
sequence and logic activities as well as
mind-building math activities. We will be
working on matching items that go together in
some way and designing a picture developed from
some lines that are already drawn on the paper.
