Position Description

• Liz Hudson John Gribbin
• Markets SBOC activities to the student body and
  assists with event planning.

Responsibilities

• Publicizing events, contacting speakers, posting
  to the calendar, etc.
• Planning and publicizing Spring Conference and
  Fall speaker

• Selecting types of Speakers
• Defining target audience and garnering interest

Kellogg Relations

• Lartisse Tiffith and Nadia Majid
• Increase interaction between Kellogg and the Law
  School, and connecting with local entrepreneurs
  to help develop their businesses

Position Description
Responsibilities

• Liaise with Kellogg organizations
• Seek opportunities to sponsor events and/or
  speakers at Kellogg

• Increase awareness of the SBOC at Kellogg
• Assist with the conference
• Reach out to area businesses

Community Outreach
Position Description

• Candisse Collins and Max Eisenberg
• Connect the SBOC with small businesses throughout
  Chicago and maintain good client relations

• Visit Chicago communities to encourage small
  business owners to use the SBOC
• Provide how-to presentations to community
  entrepreneurs
• Initiate relationships between large Chicago Law
  firms (pro bono group) and community business
  organizations to get them the help the SBOC is
  unable to provide.

Responsibilities

• Create how-to presentations for potential SBOC
  clients
• Connecting firms and small business organizations
• Attend off-campus events within the community.
• New Initiatives
• Get more law firms to assist SBOC clients.
• Mixer with NU-law students and Community Leaders.

Finance and Fundraising

• Tim Morrison Frank Kumpuris
• Manages the finances and fundraising activities
  of the SBOC

• Manage the budget for the year
• Seek new fundraising opportunities
• Report to SBA re funds for the year
• Coordinate requests with Director of Firm
  Corporate Relations

• Sponsors for Entrepreneurship Conference
• Applying for cash awards to fund SBOC

Media Relations
Position Description

• Michelle Wong
• Generate quality multimedia press for the SBOC

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm client- and clinic-based story ideas
  and list of media outlets
• Pitch stories
• Mine personal contacts writers, editors,
  producers, etc.
• Work with Medill

Opportunities Issues

• Assist with writing and editing pitch letters
• Facilitate contact between the media, the clinic
  and the clients
• Track SBOC stories in the media
