Assumptions
  • The Army will continue to function across a wide
    range of operational contingencies.
  • The CSAs plan to lighten the Army will
    increase task organizing, causing the need for
    better trained PM soldiers.
  • The Army will continue to emphasize protecting
    the operational force.
  • The operational force will be exposed to health
    threats throughout their military service.

Assumptions
  • MFP and OEHS will require an enhanced ability to
    collect, analyze, and assess environmental data.
  • The battlefield will become more integrated and
    information/data will be easier to gather.
  • DoD will continue to evolve threat assessment
    techniques, equipment, and knowledge base.
  • Remote sensing and other automated techniques
    will replace existing sampling and surveillance
    methods.

  • Risks associated with NBC-E hazards will demand
    an increasing share of MFP assets.
  • Deployable PM teams will continue to perform OEHS
    missions in support of deployments.
  • Equipment is available and ready to deploy for
    screening level measurements.

    technology and doctrine progress.
