• Definition
• Statements of fact or when a question presents
  the answer.
• Examples

Imperative

• Definition
• A command or a request

• Please fix me something to eat.

Interrogative

• Definition
• A question that ask for information,
  confirmation, or denial of a statement.
• Use the words such as
• what, who, how, or an auxiliary verb such as
  do/does, can or would
• Examples
• Are you going to the store?
• What time is it?

Conditional

• Definition
• A sentence in which a condition has to be present
  in order for the sentence to come true.
• Examples
• If I had a lot of money, I would invest in gold.
• If you drink poison, you will get sick.

• Definition
• An expression that the author would like to see
  happen without any conditions.
• Example
• I wish it were summer.
