What am I?

• I have no colour, not even white,
• but sometimes Im wide and blue.
• Sometimes Im still, sometimes I rush,
• and I can fall down on you.
• I can change my shape, I often do,
• but Im hard to hold in your hand.
• You need me to make your castle stand up
• when youre playing in the sand.
• I havent much taste, but on a hot day
• Your tongues hanging out for me.
• Then I am cold, but I can be hot
• When Im in your mums cup of tea.
• What am I?

Rules for Writing a What am I? Riddle

• Write at least 6 clues about different things.
• Use present tense (mostly!)
• Try to be clever!
• Begin each sentence with a capital letter and end
  it with a full-stop, question mark or exclamation
  mark.
• Use a comma before but.
• Finish with a question What am I?

• What does it taste like? Sweet, salty or bitter?
• What do you normally eat it with?

• What colour is it? (Can it be different colours?)
• It is a fruit / vegetable / dairy / animal?
