• For what credit is it if, when you are
  beaten for your faults, you take it
  patiently? But when you do good and
  suffer, if you take it
  patiently, this is commendable before God. 21 For
  to this you were called, because Christ also
  suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you
  should follow His steps 22 "Who committed no
  sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth" 23 who,
  when He was reviled, did not revile in return
  when He suffered, He did not threaten, but
  committed Himself to Him who judges righteously.

  for his own interests, but also for
  the interests of others. 5 Let this mind
  be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.
• Jesus came to earth for others, not himself. Our
  focus should be on the welfare of others as well!

• They became examples to believers because they
  followed the example of Paul and Christ. you
  became followers of us and of the Lord. (vs. 6)

  believers in word, in conduct, in love, in
  spirit, in faith, in purity.

  the Gentiles, that when they speak
  against you as evildoers, they may, by your good
  works which they observe, glorify God in the day
  of visitation.
• Unbelievers will often judge the value of walking
  with Christ by the example of that walk they see
  in us!
