1 Peter 220-23
  • For what credit is it if, when you are
beaten for your faults, you take it
patiently? But when you do good and
    suffer, if you take it
patiently, this is commendable before God. 21 For
to this you were called, because Christ also
suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you
should follow His steps 22 "Who committed no
sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth" 23 who,
when He was reviled, did not revile in return
when He suffered, He did not threaten, but
committed Himself to Him who judges righteously.

5
Philippians 24-5
  • Let each of you look out not only
for his own interests, but also for
the interests of others. 5 Let this mind
be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

  • So that you became examples
to all in Macedonia and Achaia
    who believe.
  • They became examples to believers because they
followed the example of Paul and Christ. you
became followers of us and of the Lord. (vs. 6)

  • Let no one despise your youth,
but be an example to the
believers in word, in conduct, in love, in
    spirit, in faith, in purity.

17
Titus 26-8
  • Likewise exhort the young men
to be sober-minded, 7 in all things
showing yourself to be a pattern of good works
    in doctrine showing integrity, reverence,
incorruptibility, 8 sound speech that cannot be
condemned, that one who is an opponent may be
ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.
