• Remember, Density mass/volume
• Mass is determined using a scale
• Volume is calculated several different ways

Finding Volume

• To find the volume of a liquid, use a graduated
  cylinder
• Make sure to read the bottom of the meniscus

• Volume of a regular object, such as a wooden block

  graduated cylinder

Lab Safety/ Clean Up

• No closed toe shoes or aprons are required
• If you spill, clean the water with a paper towel
• When you finish collecting data, return the lab
  area as you found it
