Action 2Main features 2009-2013
  • Fosters
  • structured co-operation between HEIs in Europe
    and specific targeted geographical regions of the
    world
  • with the objective of implementing bilateral
    exchanges of students and university staff
    between Europe and these regions
  • Award of mobility scholarships at all levels
    (undergraduate, master, doctorate,
    post-doctorate, academic and administrative
    staff), for variable durations, in a variety of
    disciplines
  • Priorities defined in consultation with the third
    countries concerned
  • Special attention paid to socio-economically
    disadvantaged groups and populations in a
    vulnerable situation (all except ICI).

    seeking students
  • 3 target groups
  • Group 1 students/staff from partner institutions

  • Group 2 other nationals from third countries
    (masters, doctorate and post-doctorate level)
  • Group 3 nationals of third countries under lot
    in vulnerable situation (all except staff)

Action 2 S1
  • Target group 1 must represent at least 50 of the
    individual mobility
  • Third-country mobility need to represent at least
    70 of the individual mobility
  • European mobility cannot exceed 30 of the
    individual mobility

Action 2 S2
  • Only target group 1, no undergraduate level
  • European mobility to third countries/territories
    must represent min 60 of the individual mobility
  • Third-country mobility to Europe cannot be higher
    than 40 of the individual mobility

Type, distribution and number of mobility flows
may vary depending on the lot concerned
