- Upon completion of this program,
- participants should be able to
- Describe new oral and injectable agents and their
place in the treatment of the diabetic patient. - Discuss the role of diet, exercise and herbal
products in the care of the diabetic patients - Identify the differences in treatment of diabetic
patients depending on the treatment setting
including emergency department, critical care and
perioperative care. - Identify controversies surrounding transitions of
care both in the hospital setting and at
discharge. - Discuss the potential role for pharmacists in
diabetes care utilizing pharmacist run clinics
