I. How Organisms Obtain Energy

1. Plants make their own food.

1. Photosynthesis-process in which plants make their
   own food.

1. Plants are also called Autotrophs

1. Heterotroph-

an organism that must feed on other organisms.

1. Carnivore-eats other animals

1. Herbivore-only eats plants

1. Decomposer-breaks down and absorbs energy from
   dead organisms.
