Emma Kellys Life

• Growing up in Statesboro Georgia, Emma began
  displaying a keen musical sense at a very young
  age. Later she became a proud mother of ten.
  Kelly began traveling around Georgia, playing at
  weddings, graduations, and conventions in order
  to help put each of her children through college.

Emma Kellys Career

• Emma impressed Johnny Mercer with her wide
  knowledge of music, and the two embarked on a
  lifelong friendship. Johnny soon became her
  mentor and gave her first boost. At 53 he
  altered her from an only instrumental artist to a
  singer as well.

Kellys Accomplishments

• Kelly has played for three U.S. Presidents-
  Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Carter.
• She as performed in a number of tribute concerts
  to Johnny Mercer
• Emma was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of
  Fame, joining the illustrious ranks of fellow
  Georgia inductees like James Brown and The Allman
  Brothers.
